Ronakit, Ratanon lead 13 other teams into Lipo final

Ronakit Gareepat and Ratanon Wanasrichan from Chanthaburi’s Sirikan driving range yesterday led 13 other teams into the final round of the 2.5 million baht Lipovitan D Golf Team Thailand Championships after finishing on top of the qualifying round play which concluded at the par 72 Siam Country Club Old Course in Chon Buri.
The first of the qualifying rounds saw a total of 64 teams take part yesterday, which was a foursome play.
Men played on the 7,075 yards course while women competed on the 6,270 yard layout.
The defending champion pair of Ronakit and Ratanon defeated the Pakchong Driving team by six up on the 14th hole in the morning round and then marched op to beat the Crystal Bay team by one up in the afternoon round.
From all 64 teams taking part the 14 qualifying teams are: Sirikan Driving Range, Green Hill, Diana, Burapa University (Sathit), Diana Golf and Resort, Don Muang, Puenyai (Arsenal), Potisan Pitayakorn, Dino, Atthawit Commerce, Green Valley, Army Sports Development Centre, Heart Land golf school of Bang Plee and Vac Vac Driving Range.
The final round of the Lipovitan D Golf Team meet will be held at the Lake Wood course on March 16 next year.
The second leg of the qualifying round will be held at the Springfield golf course in Cha-Am, Phetchaburi on December 8. Interested groups please contact PR desk at 02-954-4444 for information.
