WBC strawweight champion Oledong Sithsamerchai will fight Pornsawan Por Pramuk in an all-Thai affair in his second defence on November 27 in Phitsanulok, according to manager Piyarat Wachirarattawongse.

Twenty-three-year-old Oledong won the belt from compatriot Den Junlaphan last November and said he will not underestimate Pornsawan, 30. He is confident he will be able to retain his 105lb belt.
The unbeaten Trang native is Thailand’s only male world champion and scored a ninth-round knockout over Japan’s Junichi Ebisuoka in his first defence in Phuket in June.
He last stopped Indonesia’s John Cut Siregar in a warm-up fight in Bangkok last month and his record stands at 28-0, with 12KOs.
Pornsawan’s manager Pramuk Rochannatan said he thinks his man can win the fight. “Pornsawan is much stronger than Oledong,” said Pramuk.
“He once told me that he was sure he could beat Oledong if he had a chance to fight him.”
Nevertheless, the manager does harbour concerns over Pornsawan’s physical fitness because he hasn’t boxed for a long time.
“I do not know if he has enough time to get in good shape for the fight,” said Pramuk.
Pornsawan last fought in February when he stopped Richard Garcia in the fifth round in Thailand.
Sakaeo-born Pornsawan lost to Filipino Donnie Nietes in a challenge for the WBO minimumweight championship in the Philippines last year, which is the only loss in his 21-1 (16KOs) career.
He was previously the 108 pound champion at Lumpini Stadium.
The Oledong-Pornsawan is sponsored by Charoen Pokphand Foods Plc (CPF) and will be televised on Channel 7.
Meanwhile, Panomroonglek Kratingdaengym looks set to be named as the next challenger for WBC flyweight champion Daisuke Naito.
Fahpetchnoi Kratingdaenggym had been mentioned as a potential opponent but that fight has now been sidelined.Naito took the belt off Pongsaklek Wonjongkam last July.
