LPGA star Stacy seeks advice from top monk
KITTIPONG THONGSOMBAT
Luang Phor Singha, the abbot of Wat Pai Lueng in Nonthaburi, told LPGA star Stacy Prammanasudh yesterday to practice meditation before each game to improve her performance in the field.
Stacy visits Luang Phor Singha at Wat Pai Lueng.
Twenty-nine-year-old Stacy, now ranked 35th on the LPGA tour money list, was told to meditate five minutes before teeing off to be more focused and relaxed under pressure.
It was the second time Stacy, who is half American, has sought advice from Luang Phor.
Luang Phor Singha once taught former world No 1 Vijay Singh about meditation and the golfer credited him for his recent success.
Also yesterday, Stacy joined the SINGHA Junior Creative Shot Contest at Thana City Driving Range, Bang Na.
Both Singh and Stacy are brand ambassadors for Singha Corporation.
