Democrat party believes yellow cards could have been avoided
The Democrat party believes two of its members previously accused of the vote buying would not have been issued yellow cards, if they had been invited to the EC office for further enquiries.
The Democrat party is confident that if the Election Commission had initially requested two of the party members, who have been issued yellow cards including Mr. Suppachai Srilah (นายศุภชัย ศรีหล้า) and Mr. Wootipong Namboot (นายวุฒิพงศ์ นามบุตร), to appear at the EC office for any further enquiries, they would not have been issued the yellow cards.
Furthermore, the Democrat party affirmed that delayal of the case is not due to the EC’s deliberate attempts in helping the party to avoid the red card and party dissolution, but rather due to insufficient evidence. As a result, the party is preparing to file a lawsuit against Mr. Sombat Rattano (สมบัติ รัตโน), a former member of the People Power Party who previously filed the complaint against them, on grounds of faulty report.
