Court to testify former police chief
The Criminal Court has scheduled a hearing of former national police chief Gen Sant Sarutanon’s (สันต์ ศรุตานนท์) testimony on December 16 as part of a case filed against him by former Bangkok governor candidate Chuwit Kamolwisit.
The Ratchada Criminal Court today (October 28) read the verdict for the case filed by Mr. Chuwit against Pol Gen Sant who he accused of giving false testimony to the South Bangkok Criminal Court.
Mr. Chuwit alledged that Pol Gen Sant’s false testimony resulted in a guilty verdict by the South Bangkok Criminal Court. The verdict was recently increased to three years imprisonment with a 450,000 baht fine. Both Mr. Chuwit and Pol Gen Sant were absent from the hearing. They sent their lawyers to receive the verdict.
Nonetheless, the court has ordered Pol Gen Sant to additionally testify on the case on December 16 at 1 PM.
