Thai health authorities recall 3 more melamine-tainted from stores

, Oct 25 () — Thailand’s (FDA) ordered the removal of three more imported from China and Malaysia from throughout the country after they were found to contain melamine above maximum legal standards, said Dr. Pipat Yingseri, secretary-general of FDA.

The seized are ‘Hajuku’ brand Chinese-manufactured stick with a of melamine at 5.07 milligrammes per kilogramme, ‘ , also manufactured in China, with 3.16 mg/kg, and Julie’s peanut made in  Malaysia which contain 2.52 mg/kg, said Dr. Pipat.

Thailand’s FDA has set the at 2.5 mg/kg.

In order to ensure safety for consumers, Dr. Pipat said, Thai had informed of the three , and retailers to withdraw the three products with excessive melamine from nationwide. ()
