By The Nation
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and TTG Asia Media on Tuesday issued a statement to ensure safety to international media and delegates attending IT&CMA and CTW Asia Pacific 2008 in Bangkok, responding a wake of political turmoil.
TCEB’s President Natwut Amornvivat said as the host country, the bureau and the organiser, TTG Asia Media, have clarified in its first statement that the political chaos would not affect the event, which will take place during October7-9 at Bangkok Convention Centre, Central World.
There are 360 registered buyers from 40 countries, including first time participating buyers from Bulgaria and Brazil . Sellers from Nepal and Zimbabwe will also attend the events for the first time this year. The huge response is a good sign for the industry and helps build the confidence of MICE entrepreneurs in Asia Pacific who are attending this year’s events.
TCEB expected that the event would generate Bt1 billion.
