Forever 21, an American fashion brand, will open its first store in Thailand at CentralWorld in Bangkok this month.
An executive of Central Pattana Plc, the developer of CentralWorld, said Forever 21 would open on Oct 10 to serve fashion-savvy Thai women who want the latest catwalk trends at fair prices.
Don Chang, the founder of Forever 21, said Thailand was recognised for its fashion-conscious consumers. With a large population of young women with an average age of 25, the market has potential waiting to be tapped.
“Thais are generally very fashion-conscious people and very up-to-date with global trends,” said an executive of Sharaf Fashion Retail, the distribution licensee of Forever 21 in Thailand.
The Forever 21 store, covering 3,450 square metres, will carry a wide range of clothing lines for women, men, teenagers and children, fashion accessories, shoes, lingerie and bags.
“One of the key features of all Forever 21 stores is that there are new products coming to the store daily but in limited numbers and all merchandise in the stores is changed on a three- to six-week basis,” the executive said.
On average, Forever 21 creates more than 20,000 styles annually.
“While it takes established designers months to get their clothes into the stores after runway previews, Forever 21 delivers interpretations of the same looks within only six weeks,” said Dr A.P. Nikhil, its brand consultant.
