In memoriam
The National Film Archive is organising a special event at Sri Salaya Theatre to commemorate the death of legendary movie hero Mitr Chaibancha.
Mitr was killed when he fell from a helicopter while shooting a film he also directed, Insee Thong (Golden Eagle), on October 8, 1970.
There will be a discussion with his co-stars, including Wassana Chalakorn and Yaowaret Nisakorn. A selection of the films in which Mitr starred, mostly with his on-screen sweetheart Pechara Chaowaraj, will also be screened. Mitr’s biography, written by Inkhasak, will also be launched.

In remembrance of Mitr Chaibancha, a discussion and film presentation, Sri Salaya Theatre, the National Film Archive. All programmes start at 1pm.
