Blossoms of Eden
Central Department Store is setting aside 120 million baht to turn Central Chidlom into Thailand’s first cosmos garden as the highlight of its annual floral festival, ”Blossoms of Eden”, which is a part of the year-long ”Central … Love the Earth” environmental awareness campaign in celebration of its 61st anniversary.
The highlight of the festival sees the 1,500m2 Morakot parking area transformed into a vast garden. Rare black roses grown by the Royal Project as well as 17 other rose breeds, including Princess Diana Roses, Bishop Roses and Pearl Noir Roses, are on show.
Also on sale during the festival are limited-edition reusable cloth bags with tulip or lotus motifs, created by celebrated Italian artist Arianna Caroli. The bags are priced at 995 baht each and part of the proceeds go to support the Chaipattana Foundation under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The Central 61st Anniversary Celebration is on until November 2, while the special offers are available until November 16. The garden will be on display at the Morakot parking area of Central Chidlom until December 17
