TAIPEI (Taiwan News)- Prosecutors arraigned former Bureau of Investigation chief Yeh Sheng-mao for the probe of former first family’s alleged money laundering case to understand how he gave information to former president Chen Shui-bian. Special Investigation Group today said that Yeh confessed he never told any information concerning Chen’s overseas capital to Prosecutor General Chen Chong-ming, overthrowing his previous claims.
Yeh used to claim several times in press conference, during trials and interrogations that he had told information related to the case to Chen Chong-ming, but Chen had denied.
Prosecutors said Yeh confessed yesterday that he did not tell the information to Chen Chong-ming in the arraignment. Yeh was reluctant to elaborate the reason for such a claim.
