RM30,000 Loss For RTM News Supervisor
IPOH, Oct 28 (Bernama) — A Perak Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) news supervisor lost RM30,000 when her house in Taman Timah, Gunung Rapat, near here, was broken into early this morning.
Rosmawati Mat Isa, 44, said she only realised what had happened when her daughter, who had woken up at 3.30 am to go to the bathroom, saw items scattered in the bedroom and living room and found the kitchen and living room doors wide open.
She immediately called the police to check if the thief was still in the premises.
Police assured her that the thief had escaped but they found several metal bars, believed to have been used to force open a bathroom window to gain entry into the house, she said.
The thief or thieves also took a carton of milk from the refrigerator and left behind a pair of slippers.
Among the items stolen were RM500 cash, a Perodua Kenari car, four mobile phones and two watches.
Ipoh Police Chief, ACP Azisman Alias, when contacted, said they believed more than two people were involved in the break-in.
