Aviation security forum in Seoul
The annual AVSEC World conference, the biggest event on aviation security, will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Seoul today for three days with some 600 participants attending, the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affair said yesterday.
AVSEC World is a joint event produced by a consortium of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airports Council International and the European Civil Aviation Conference.
The list of participants includes Gerry Lumsden, executive secretary of ECAC and Mr. Mohamed Elamiri, chief of safety and security audits of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Under the theme “Risk Management: A Common Sense Approach,” attendees will learn about new strategies, approaches and technologies to facilitate the efficient and secure operation of civil aviation in a diverse and growing market, the ministry said.
