Scores of stores were on fire at Jatinegara traditional market Thursday morning.
“The report was received from residents at 8.15 am,” an official of the East Jakarta Fire Brigade told Antara news agency.
According to Rubani, the houses and shops on fire were on Jl. Kemuning, which faces the market.
“Thirteen fire trucks are at the location but the fire is still raging because the location is difficult to reach,” he said.
Reports of casualties or the cause of the fire were not available. (amr)
