The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) announced Friday that the execution of terrorists involved in the first Bali bombings Amrozi, Imam Samudra, and Ali Gufron will take place in November.
“All legal recourse have been exhausted and the necessary requirements (for the execution to proceed) are met, the Attorney General’s Office will execute (them) in early November,” AGO spokesman Jasman Pandjaitan told a media briefing Friday afternoon.
Pandjaitan said the location and time of execution had been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights.
He added that the execution would be implemented on the high security jail on Nusakambangan Island, Cilacap regency.
The October 2002 Bali nightclub bombings killed 202 people, 88 of them Australian tourists.
