Lawyers For Simpson & Stewart File Motion For New Trial
According to the Associated Press, lawyers for OJ Simpson and Clarence Stewart have filed motions for a new trial.
Simpson and Stewart were convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping Friday in connection with a robbery last year at Palace Station.
Simpson faces life in prison.
The Associated Press reports Simpson’s lawyers filed the papers Friday with Judge Jackie Glass.
His defense lawyer claims jury members wanted to get even for his acquittal in 1995 on double murder charges.
Lawyers for CJ Stewart also filed, saying Stewart should have been tried separately from Simpson.
