Ex- Phuong dies at 71

HA NOI — Former Do died in the capital city from a sudden at the age of 71.

Phuong was also former member of the of Committee, former deputy, former of the Academy, and of the Central Elderly Association from May, 2007.

Born in 1937 in Tay Ho District in Ha Noi, Phuong graduated from the Ha Noi Medicine and in 1960, and went on to get his doctorate in the Soviet Union.

During his working years, Phuong paid attention to the health of the poor and started a lot of policies still in effect today.

As the result of his commitment to the country, the State and the Party had rewarded Phuong with the Independence Order, First Class; the Anti- of Resistance Order, First Class; the Labour Order, First Class; the insignia for his 40 years’ among other distinctions.

Phuong was also awarded with the Order of Freedom from Laos.

Phuong will be buried in Mai Dich Cemetery in Ha Noi . —
